What do you recommend for a beginner transmitter to work with this airplane that is rechargeable, for under $100? I'm getting this plane for my birthday in 3 weeks, and want a nice transmitter to go with it. Suggestions please… Thanks!

I'm looking for a good beginner plane… I'm thinking to buy the cub, the champ, or a micro scale WWI plane. Any suggestions?

i like to fly it in a LOT of wind, the gyros take it so well!i like seeing it just float there in wind and even fly it backwards in strong wind!

I absolutely hate this plane. You just basically can't fly it on any day because the slightest wind just sends it spiraling out of control. It's a fun plane for being introduced to the hobby, but if you actually want to LEARN how to fly, you need a plane that can handle a little bit of wind, so I'd recommend something bigger. There are other models with the SAFE features that I would consider a true beginners plane, but don't get this little fella unless you just want something for flying indoors.

I purchased a sport cub back in JUly 2016 and have been enjoying it tremendously. I don't know if it is operator error or a defect in the plane cuased by a crash. I have a slight case of Parkinson's so it might be me, but I can't seem to control it at all in the intermediate mode. If it's the plane, I may have fixed it by reglueing the motor, although that didn't seem to coincide with the original malfunction (if is is a malfunction and not my clumsy operating skills). BUt I am reluctant to try it again in the intermediate mode, becausse all the incessant testing in the intermediate mode has nearly desrtroyed to sport cub. Any recomendatiions?

I finally got this plane! I got it RTF to avoid ANY trouble, but where the battery is supposed to go, I think the cord is tucked into the plane, and I'm not sure what to do. Somebody please answer.

Hi I'm just asking, do you think that the battery life is long enough? I mean, is it long enough to have good fun before you have to recharge?

I bought the sport cub s 2 days back and I have had this weird issue. on the flight, it started giving weird noise and stopped climbing, the prop came out before landing . After that I fixed the prop back and tried to fly again but the plane didn't lift and started making the noise, after inspecting I understood that the motor is slipping from the gear attached to the prop, which makes the noise and because of the vibration caused by this the prop comes out.Β  I am getting a replacement as I like this plane a lot but also concerned that its a non common issue. Did any of you had this issue? is it common for brush motor to slip from the gear? the pinion is slipping from the prop gear.

I would personally NOT recommend this plane to anyone that is not flying inside like these guys are. if you do fly it outside there can not be any wind at all! i tried flying mine in the lightest of wind and it took off and flew for a minute, got wind underneath it and it took off on me. no madder what i did i couldn't bring it back and now I'm out $130.

Just flew mine today. As someone that has no idea what I'm doing, I definitely recommend this plane! Handled some decent winds and is so stable! If you are thinking about getting it, do it! πŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏ

I just got this as my first rc plane. It flies so easily out of the box and I've yet to crash it yet with the help of SAFE tech even in ~10mph winds. Good job horizon. πŸ™‚ I'll definitely be coming back for more.
