If this is swappable series, does that mean that I can swap it into another plane?

FliteTest… I love everything you do. I just picked up the FT Explorer. I can't wait to glue it together.

Twinzturbo is right. You guys are SO awesome!!! I was wondering if you could sell the foam (just sheets) individually so that if the plane does break I can repair it with the right foam and not have to go searching the internet for hours looking for it. Thanks!

These guys have a really good honest policy, the prices are really reasonable, and shipping is really low like 6 bucks its refreshing to see people operate like this rather than a hobby shop, who sometimes  give us  the jesse james so to speak, anyway  i like their  whole approach thanks guys.

I'm really interested in getting into the hobby…my uncle and some of his friends fly, but they fly gassers from the 80's. I know I need to start with an electric plane, so is this kit the best starter out of the scratch-builds? Thanks 🙂

I can't get into the hobby because controller is expensive. I understand that planes are cheap but I am 14 year old kid who wants to get in into scratch building. You're talking about experience but controller+plane kit+electronics is over 50€ so that's too expensive.

Does anyone have a list that will order all parts needed to build all 3 swappable planes? I have looked at a few sites, but I am not sure how to order? Thanks in advance!

I wish you guys would have some basic electronic kits to order at the same time as the plane. We do not all have drawers of parts lying about to pick from. Need to find another vendor and pay their shipping costs on top. Not Tx and
Rx, but a pack of servos, ESC, motor and the batts you recommend. Just want to build and go. Ugh. Great show anyway, love it!

Hey guys, do you know if the FT Flyer power-pod and firewall from Flite Test's speed build kit is the same size as the power pod in the Versa Wing and the P-51 Mustang?

I'm building an FT Flyer with my wife to introduce her to RC flight and I have both a Versa Wing and P-51 Mustang speed-build kits lying around that I haven't built. I'm playing on scratch-building the FT Flyer, but I'd like to use one of the power pods and firewall from those kits.

Also, I have a few 8×4 props, a 28-26 1200kv NTM motor, a Turnigy plush 25A ESC… This might be overpowering on the little FT flyer, but I don't want to buy other gear as I have this already lying around. You think this will work?

I see some of you are running a 2200mah 3S with some success. Good, because that's what I have from my other planes.

como hacen para que el foam board no les quede quemado a la hora de cortarlo con laser?
por que a mi se me quema? y la espuma del interior delfoam board se contrae, se esconde hacia dentro como cuando se quema el poliestileno

I bought the 3 pack sbk and I swear I got the box that josh was smashing on this video , all 3 kits were damaged . Not having dealt with flite test I didn't know what to expect as far as customer service. I emailed the office and the next morning it was responded to and I was told that I would immediatley have a replacement kit sent out. Sure enough it was , and 4 days later I had it and started the builds.
Kits went together perfectly and flew great. Hats off to flite test and a great product and even better customer service.

just an idea, but do yo think you could make a power pod that is powered by rubber bands, so you could make a "ft band flier", or a "spit band"
