Hello, in reference to the motor mounts, what size allen wrench or star screwdriver do I need to remove the mounts to mark out the holes on the quadcopter's boom? kind of small and not sure if it's an allen wrench or star.
    thanks

Ive got a question, I'm planning to have 4 motors. Each of them have the following specs, 11 Amps, 11 Volts, and 111 watts. Now Im trying to figure out if I need a 100 volt current from my batteries, or 11. Someone please help me out with this…

Hi, i have got all the parts and assembled the quadcopter. however although the proportions being correct and parts working correctly the quadcopter, whenever i try to lift it off the ground, the kk2 self stabilization system keeps pushing air from each motors at different speeds making the quad to turn upside down which has damaged my propellers multiple times.

Hello dear friends. You're videos are awesome. But can you please explain about the numbers of the electronics. I mean for example I have 2201 1400 kv motor. Which is the optimal speed control I need to use? and battery vollt ?and mah? and a frame?
It will help to understand much better to build any quadcopter. Thank you for your time and effort

A clear link to hobbyking with all the electronics would be good. Or even the flitetest site. I'm still learning and enjoy your shows.

Just a suggestion? For below 120$ maybe less you can create an 300 quad with the RotorBits parts from HK. Using the cheap DST motors and the cheap Flycolor ESC's. You will need 4 t-connectors, 4 motor mounts, 2 carbon tube 300mm, 2 aluminum tube pre drilled 300mm, some mounting plates and screws. All parts you will find in the RotorBits section at Hobbyking. Except the Flycolor ESC's, they can be found under Multirotors/ speed controllers. Weight for the frame below 230g.

Why is the battery so far to the back? Shouldnt it be more to the middle to get the COG in the middle of the quad?

What is the diagonal measurement from motor to motor? What is the weight of the frame without motors, ESC's and electronics?

    Hi Josh,
I'm having a tough time finding your directions for this hquad. I just can't find them. If you could post a direct link then that would be very helpful.

    Love the gremlin animation!
Note to video editor: Leave a half second or so of silence between edits! I kept expecting poor Josh to collapse because he didn't have time to breathe!

so let me try and get this straight, the lipo connects to all the ESC's, the 4 receiver wires plug into the kk2 board which it powers up, then the little extension leads plug from the board into the receiver which it powers up ?

I would encourage people to stay away from those motors. I've gone through at least 10 and I epoxy them but I do not at all like the design. I would go with Multistar motors which is what I will order. Those motors are also so far off balance you cant really do anything about it.

talk slower. we're trying to listen to what you are saying. what's your hurry? If you have a lot information to give out, then make it a two part show and talk slower. And keep the graphics up longer so we can read what it says as you talk underneath them. Show what you are doing instead of always having the camera on you. The cameraman shows what you are doing for one second and then quickly tilts up to show you talking. That makes it a talking head and a big no no in video production. I know since I have a 40 year career in TV and cameras working for ABC TV Network. I love your youtubes and the hobby. Just clean up your production with these simple tips I made and keep up the good work you are doing.

Very inspirational video which led me indirectly to build a "kind of H Copter" called Clark Cable..after the great 30s, 40s and 50s actor..CC is unique in that it is a rock solid flyer only held together with cable ties…it only weights 350 grams and cost $40 to build from Balsa Wood and Plastic Corflute..absolutely no screws or bolts and completely part replaceable…check it out YTwatch?v=3axSXJOxtiw

Would you be able to fly the quad in an I shape along the aileron control? Would this give the quad a better elevator response or make it unstable? Please respond.

Michael you can balance it really easy without fpv gear, i did not have fpv gear on it and it flew realy nice, just put every thing where Josh puts it (battery, fc…) and then just move your battery forward or bacwards little bit and it wil balance ๐Ÿ™‚ sorry for my bad english, i am from Croatia
