Let me clear this confusion up…….Australia & America both have the same terms for the undercarriage of an aircraft. It's called undercarriage. Landing gear is generally referring to retractable undercarriage, the retractable mechanism being the 'Gear' in 'landing gear', struts are found on both fixed and retractable, and as they are anywhere like building terms or engineering terms, diagonal bracing that supports at angles to a load is a brace or a strut, depending on compression or torsion being the active load. This plane has fixed undercarriage, with struts, and the wheel 'pants' are actually called spats. Thats what you will find in the Aviators almanac, and in every training book ever written….australian, american or otherwise. Hope that helps avoid any conflict brewing in the comments section.
PS: I miss Josh Scott being on the show. He can be a funny bastard, I always felt he brought the perfect balance to Josh B's personality on camera.

"There's no lift, its climb off the prop"
